I am a Ph.D. student working on Prospois juliflora, an exotic weed in arid and semiarid regions of India.
I am interested in finding out the causes of invasion success of Prosopis juliflora in its non-native range, India. Prosopis juliflora is leguminous species native to Central America, northern South America and the Caribbean islands. It has spread to all hot arid and semi-arid regions of India inhabiting diverse substrata, for this I have selected study sites in different regions of India like Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
